For the past few years, our team of industry experts has educated retailers and other end users across North America as to why out-of-home digital screen networks should be viewed as a different medium then in-home orientated TV and Cable networks.
Our objective was to help raise awareness and the thinking about digital screen networks and how they should be leveraged as a unique medium, and to do our part to increase adoption of digital screen networks at-retail.
For example we’ve highlighted the important considerations for creating content for this separate medium. Unlike TV, digital screen content is mostly presented without audio, a spot usually works best if less then 20 seconds in length, the place and time of playback is critical to informing message type, and the file format rendering considerations are mainly dictated by the software and/or playback technology selected.
Like most businesses, we’ve been busy staying busy during these challenging economic times. This Blog is one way to continue the dialogue between end-users and the industry. We’ll update DorseyonDigital.com with relevant and educational information as often as possible. Keep checking back!
We welcome comments, suggestions, and expert perspectives.
