Beta vs. VHS, HD DVD vz Blu-ray. The battle of platforms is not unique to our industry.
That being said, Ive stopped counting the number of video network software platforms I've tested over the past few years. Most are proprietary solutions designed to support a proprietary playback system.
We all understand the driving competitive factors that have made this a reality, but for the industry to mature in the years ahead, we need to work together to find a better way.
I work with very talented creative people. We leverage almost every creative software designed for the MAC-the choice of creative professionals. Illustrator, AfterEffects, Final Cut, Flash, PhotoShop, and so on. I have yet to come across a digital singage software platform designed specifically for the MAC, with intuitive feature sets we've come to expect from this platform. What is going on here?
