9. Software as a Service (SaaS) seems to be the "new" model for many of the emerging and established software providers. Lower barrier of entry for SMBs.

8. Interactivity goes beyond the touchscreen and extends to mobility devices enabling customers to control content on screen. Check out Loca Moda.

7. Back to the Future. Lou Giacalone returns to the new CoolSign. Look forward to what's next. SaaS version?

6. Lyle Bunn launches SPEED Training Program. (Structure for Planning, Explaining, Excitement and Deployment.) Much needed resource to educate retailers, advertisers, etc.

5. Development and adoption of Integrated LCD screens (built in computer) continues to grow.

4. Major DOOH organizations looking for buyers and/or emergency financing. Does anyone want to buy PRN?

3. It's not TV! (just had to get that out of my system)

2. Not a surprise to many of us, the DOOH advertising model is showing its weakness from a strategic and revenue standpoint. After more then 10 years, I'm still bullish on focusing on branding and the customer experience.

1. After a decade of hearing the mantra "Content is King" it appears that the industry has finally decided that it really is so. Their seems to be a renewed emphasis and focus on the core role that content plays in driving DOOH solutions.
